Saskatoon, May 23, 2024 – Thirty-nine students from Saskatchewan participated in the 2024 edition of the Concours d’art oratoire Virtual Provincial Final hosted by Canadian Parents for French – Saskatchewan.

In the 2023-2024 school year, over 6,200 students participated at the school level.

All provincial competitors received a certificate. First, second and third place winners were rewarded with medals and monetary prizes of $150, $100 and $50 respectively.

The winners, including their speech titles, in each category were as follows:

Moving Forward to the Concours d’art oratoire Virtual National Final

The following students will have the opportunity to represent Saskatchewan at the Concours d’art oratoire Virtual National Final: Ethan Lan (Grade 11/12 French Immersion), Syed Ashar Imam Rizvi (Grade 11/12 Core French), Zahin Jeena (Grade 11/12 Enriched Core French), and Lea Abdo (Grade 11/12 Enriched French Immersion).

Congratulations to all students from kindergarten to grade 12, teachers, principals, consultants, and school boards for the enormous support and work they demonstrated in organizing and promoting the Concours d’art oratoire at all levels. This program has been a tremendous success. Merci beaucoup!
